The Western Lowland Gorilla

The western lowland gorilla(Gorilla Gorilla Gorilla) is listed as being critically endangered.  These animals are found in central Africa countries in lowland tropical forests.

Threats
The threats for gorillas is increasing.   People are hunting them down for food, body parts are used in medicine, and magical charms. Also the logging (wood/trees) are getting cut down for palm oil for ingredients and household products.

Ebola has already killed about one-third of the wild gorilla population, and is spreading around the western coast. But mainly western lowland gorillas.  Evidence suggests that the virus may still be moving through the Congo basin placing a large gorilla population at risk.

Appearance

The western lowland gorilla is smaller and lighter than other western gorilla.  They have short hair, wide skull, and females are have the size of silver-backs.  They also have a brownish, grey coat with a red chest.  The males have a white patch on their thighs.  Also, they have a more blackish darker colored skin.
Diet

The type of food that herbivore gorillas eat is pith, shoots, and leaves.  Also over 100 fruit species have been recorded in their diet.  But in dry seasons they prefer to eat more bark, rotten wood, balic, termites, and ants.  Their diets change through seasons.
Population

The total is thought to number up to 10,000 individuals in the tropical central Africa.  The western lowland gorilla is the most widespread and numerous of the gorilla subspecies.
Fact

Did you know female Western Gorillas do not start reproducing until they are around 9 years old.  They generally have one offspring every 5 years.

We need to work on stopping the threats that are interrupting their life cycle.

Gallipoli 4th April 1915

Dear loved ones
I’m missing you more than you imagine, it's not the same here like back at home.
It’s not like fighting your siblings, there's no going back or forgiveness, it’s war. All i wish for right now is to be at home with you guys.
I’m by far home sick.

You see there are bombs and grenades coming out of nowhere and causing destructive bombshells. There’s erupting mushroom clouds of fire radiating in all different directions and exploding into flashes of light. The dull dark sky wraps around our earth in dispose of light.

Everywhere around me there’s ear splitting sounds that surround me, the noises of people's last winded breaths. The crackling fire burning ash explosions. The men charging through thick squelching mud that disappears down men's boots and soaks into their socks. planes dropping falling bombs full of gunpowder then the smoke crashing over our heads and filling the air.
It’s like escaping for your like here but trying to save your country at the same time.

I can feel the excruciating pain of adrenaline rushing down my spine. My broken heart  separates into shatters of sad and loneliness. I’m dehydrated and exhausted. My throat feels like rubbing your hand down concrete. I haven’t had water in days, i can’t wait for this terrible pointless war to be over, and to come home to be with my family by the warm fire. Instead of going to sleep like a pig in a disgusting mucky reeking trench.
Your sincerely
Henry xoxo (hope all is well)

When the time comes the Anzacs go to war,
Those we love don't visit anymore.
As they travel from our shores to other country,
we should be proud of those that gave there lives for the
freedom.
At the gong down of the sun and in the morning,
we will remember them.

Writing
As I watch the vibrant, glowing lights shine bright through the night, it reminds me of the illuminus city. The colossal rollercoaster is like a highway drifting through the sky.
I’m surrounded by deafening carnival music, and kids having the time of their lives.
The taste of sugar coated candy floss sucks in my taste buds and the smell runs up my nose.
The carnival moves as though it is alive.
